2025 is a big year for the baking industry, and there’s one event that I will never miss: the International Baking Industry Exposition (IBIE). This September 13–17, Las Vegas becomes the proving ground for our industry’s rising talent, as well as all in the latest ingredients, trends, and innovation. IBIE is the kind of trade show that inspires and drives progress for bakery professionals worldwide.
I’m especially fired up to see all the latest developments for sustainability, especially at The BEST in Baking Awards. These awards recognize true innovation in areas bakers “knead” to prioritize, including: sustainable production methods, supply chain efficiency, and workforce development. A significant focus in the modern baking industry is learning how to be both profitable and environmentally friendly.
Eco-Friendly is in Fashion
From compostable packaging innovations to equipment that uses less water and energy without compromising output or quality, the show floor will be packed with practical ways to green your bakery. And it’s not just about the dough, it’s about people, too. I’m looking forward to sessions on workforce engagement and retention, all of which address the labor shortage.
If you’ve never attended IBIE, know that it’s the perfect place to meet fellow bakers, distributors, suppliers, and innovators who are shaping the future of baking, one loaf at a time. IBIE 2025 is where big ideas are baked to perfection, and a chance to get ahead of the curve.
So mark your calendar, pack your apron (and maybe a few business cards), and meet me in Las Vegas. Let’s toast to the future of baking! Visit www.bakingexpo.com to register. See you at the show!
