Shelf Stable Vanilla Frosting


Ingredients

In Baker’s Percent: (%)

  • Powdered Sugar – 64.5
  • Shortening – 14.3
  • Water – 16.9
  • High Fructose Corn Syrup – 3.5
  • Vanilla – 0.1
  • Vinegar – 0.2
  • SOR-Mate Natural Preservative by J&K Ingredients – 0.6


 

Method

  1. Place powdered sugar and shortening in a mixing bowl with paddle and cream on 1st for 30 seconds, scrape, then cream on 2nd for 1 minute.
  2. Add in corn syrup, vinegar, vanilla, SOR-Mate and water and mix on 1st for 30 seconds, scrape, and then mix on 2nd for 1 minute.
