      Hello
      When I make baking mixes it doesn’t last long. It smells and taste bitter. Please what preservatives can I use for baking mixes (cake mix and donut mix) for commercial purposes to make it last long.

      can you give detail of the ingredients

      some times it could be choice of grades of ingredients,it could be contamination from the environment, it could be physio chemical reactions to the ingredients.

      Cake mix : flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar and salt

      Donut mix: flour, yeast, salt and sugar

      For cake preservation, some people use hot drinks to preserve it.
